After years of struggling to find products that really worked in managing natural hair as well as growing back hair loss due to wigs and chemicals, Jennifer Joseph-James and Linea Baker set out to try to solve their own problems. Using their background in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, they researched organic oils, herbs, and plants. They traveled to places around the world to see how other cultures were tackling these challenges. Those travels and research took them to the continents of Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia. They studied hair regimens from different cultures and used the ones with the most promise. Through trial and error, iterations, retrospectives, and improvements they created something marvelous!. After falling in love with their products, they decided to share their creations with family and friends. Once the reviews were in and everyone fell in love with it too; they decided to give it a name and that was the birth of Glow1ng.
